With over 100 years of support to the Otago community, everyone at Presbyterian Support Otago is excited about expanding services in Wanaka.

Elmslie House is a valuable asset to the town, and the addition of Wanaka Retirement Village will further strengthen the bonds between the community and the organisation.

Presbyterian Support Otago is the fourth largest employer in the province (1150 staff and over 600 volunteers) and a major provider of health and social services in Otago. The organisation operates seven residential facilities for older people:

• Iona Hospital and Home, Oamaru
• Ross Home and Hospital, Dunedin
• St Andrews Home and Hospital, Dunedin
• Taieri Court Home, Mosgiel
• Holmdene Home and Hospital, Balclutha
• Ranui Home and Hospital, Alexandra
• Elmslie Rest Home and Hospital, Wanaka
• as well as rental cottages in Oamaru, Dunedin, Milton and Wanaka,
• plus eight villas at Ranui Court, Alexandra, and seven units at Columba Court, Oamaru.

Home support services for those people wanting to remain in their homes, and community-based services catering for family needs, are also part of PSO’s role of providing responsive, effective services in Otago communities.
